Initially this space felt small and cluttered; I knew we needed to fit about 3 more cords of wood into here for this coming winter {I love wood heat}. So now I think that much of what needs to fit will fit, and when spring rolls around it will be in need of another day long cleaning job - mostly for that seasonal switching of sleds for strollers, skates for bikes, etc.
We can also fit 2 cars in where they actually belong {does anyone else have a garage but no space for cars on a regular basis?}. All summer long I park outside, which suits me fine, but with our winters up here I LOVE my garage space. Even when we get dumped on with 2 feet of snow I do not have to scrap off my vehicle (the little things in life are so great)! {And yes there are times when we get that much in one night!} Although scraping off your vehicle is minor when you cannot even maneuver out of your LONG driveway - in the winter it feels even longer than when I walk to meet the bus.
So did you accomplish anything this Saturday - does my clean and lovely garage inspire you to go and tackle yours? Heed my advice and at least make a place for your van/car/truck/SUV to park in there for the winter, you will be so glad that you did!

Happy day!
